aimees sicht der dinge

It’s heard to believe, but our little girl is already 1 year old. Within a year she has grown over 20cm and put on 13 pounds (not something we would be proud of for ourselves I believe).
For Aimee’s birthday we had a little party with 6 of Aimee’s friends. It was a lovely day and by the end Aimee got the idea of been giving presents. In the beginning the wrapping and the boxes seemed far more interesting.

Since January Aimee takes part in a sing and sign class and after it seemed she wasn’t taking in a single thing, she is now signing happily whenever she finds something interesting. With just over 10 months she started with her first sign. Having a bath I asked her where the duck was. She listened, made the sign for duck, turned around in the bath and passed me the duck. I was so amazed. Now she can sign dog, car, bird, milk, more, all gone, home, nappy change and get up. And I am sure there are more to come. She is so proud when she can communicate and sees that we understand.
So everybody with babies ages 6-18 months: it’s really worth it!! And you do not even to take part in a class. It is mostly about doing the signs at home anyway.

Aimee is such a big girl already – 10 months old!! She can do a lot, but moving is not her first priority. She doesn’t crawl or rolls over and she seems to be quite happy with this situation. But she starts baby signing and it is a great joy to communicate with her. She still loves the water and swimming is one of her most favourite acitivities. She likes to play in the park and likes to be around her friends. And one of the best things is that she sleeps 12-13 hours every night and twice during the day. We are really thankful for that.
